Mobilization Specialist

Location: Plano, TX (Hybrid) or Orlando, FL (Hybrid)

Role Description: At Sightline, we believe God calls specific people for specific Kingdom assignments. The Missionary Staff Mobilization Specialist plays a vital role in helping people recognize and respond to that calling.

This role focuses on identifying, inviting, and discerning missionary candidates who are called to serve with Sightline. Through proactive name generation, intentional referral cultivation, and Spirit-led screening, this manager ensures the right people are prayerfully connected to the mission. The goal isn’t just to fill roles—it’s to help individuals step into God’s purposes for their lives through service with Sightline and for our parent organization of Cru.

Primary Responsibilities

Mobilization Strategy & Collaboration

  • Design and implement a Spirit-led missionary recruiting strategy, that discerns calling, character, and competencies-ensuring the right role fit in alignment with Sightline’s ministry goals and personnel needs.
  • Cultivate collaboration across Sightline departments, Cru Mobilization Guild, and other ministry partners to identify and invite qualified candidates
  • Create and steward clear pathways for current staff, alumni, and Cru peers to participate in the referral and mobilization process in and out of Sightline/Cru. 

Name Generation, Sourcing & Outreach

  • Proactively generate names of potential missionary staff through research, relational networks, and ministry partnerships
  • Build trust and connection with emerging candidates through one-on-one outreach, visioncasting, and testimony-driven storytelling
  • Lead and manage a working database or pipeline of prospective candidates and document their stage in the discernment journey 

Candidate Discernment & Screening

  • Conduct exploratory conversations and early-stage screenings that assess calling, character, and alignment with Sightline’s mission
  • Prayerfully guide potential staff through a process of vocational discernment, offering encouragement and clarity around next steps
  • Coordinate handoffs with Sightline hiring leaders and HR for formal interviews, applications, and onboarding 

 

Team Equipping & Partnership

  • Equip Sightline staff to engage confidently in the mobilization process, offering training and tools for making referrals and initiating conversations
  • Partner with hiring managers and team leaders to understand ministry needs and discern fit—not just function—for incoming missionary staff
  • Provide insight and support in placement conversations, helping to ensure strong team alignment and long-term fruitfulness 

Tracking, Learning & Reporting

  • Track trends, outreach efforts, and candidate progress to inform recruitment efforts and strategic planning
  • Stay informed about best practices in missionary mobilization, adapting methods to stay relational, relevant, and Spirit-sensitive
  • Represent Sightline well in the Cru Mobilization Guild and other shared spaces for collaboration and learning

 

Financial Stewardship:

  • Cru Religious Missionary Order Staff are expected to maintain a positive balance in their staff account, properly administer financial resources, and communicate consistently with his/her ministry partnership team.

 

Other Functions:

  • Demonstrate and model personal spiritual discipline and assist in development of an environment on the team where individual team members grow in their own Christian walks.
  • Personal development – engage in the Staff Development process including creating and implementing a Personal Development Plan (PDP) targeting areas of growth.
  • Perform related duties or special projects as assigned
  • Attend the Ministry’s bi-monthly staff meetings, weekly team meetings, weekly prayer times, biennial retreat, Christmas party and Cru semi-annual days of prayer
