Vice President of Mission Expansion

Location: Orlando, FL (Hybrid)

Role Description:

The Vice President of Mission Expansion serves as a key executive leader at Sightline, responsible for setting and advancing the department-wide strategy that connects our content with the people who need it most. As the organizational bridge between content creation and strategic partners worldwide, this leader ensures that our offerings are not only delivered effectively, but also contextualized, scaled, and adopted across diverse environments.

By representing Sightline in key networks, championing innovation, and ensuring operational alignment across teams, the VP of Mission Expansion plays a critical role in helping more people see Jesus clearly.

Primary Responsibilities

Executive Leadership

  • Serve on the Executive Leadership Team, carrying and stewarding the mission, vision, and values of Sightline.
  • Champion the growth of Sightline’s ministry impact by expanding both the depth and breadth of our partnerships in the US and around the world.

 

Strategic Leadership

  • Lead the Mission Expansion department, including U.S. and International teams, ensuring alignment with Sightline’s strategy and priorities.
  • Develop deep understanding of Cru’s broader strategy, priorities, and initiatives and seek opportunities to collaborate with field leaders to meet needs in real time
  • Translate organizational vision into actionable initiatives that not only expand Sightline’s reach but also complement and strengthen the work of Cru ministries at all levels.
  • Develop and monitor department-wide goals, budgets, and KPIs; report regularly to the executive team on outcomes and opportunities.
  • Maintain strong cross-functional collaboration with Content, Development, and Operations

 

Partnership Development

  • Cultivate and steward high-level strategic partnerships across ministry networks, publishing partners, and field organizations.
  • Champion Sightline’s mission within Cru, building relational credibility and shared vision.
  • Represent Sightline at global gatherings, conferences, and ministry forums as an ambassador of the mission and message. Work to recruit potential staff for Sightline’s Mission Expansion team.
  • Identify and pursue strategic opportunities for expanding distribution, influence, and reach.

 

Team Leadership

  • Directly oversee the Director of U.S. Partnerships and Director of International Partnerships, providing coaching, support, and accountability.
  • Model and coach the team towards a service first approach to partnership.
  • Build a high-performing, mission-aligned team culture.
  • Ensure all team members have clear roles, development plans, and the resources needed to thrive.

 

Other Functions

  • Drive efforts to understand emerging cultural trends that partners are facing and in response, identify any ministry gaps that need creative solutions
  • Provide strategic insight to the executive team to help shape future content, campaigns, and platform decisions that serve both global audiences and local Cru contexts.
  • Maintain close connection with the Development team and ensure they are well informed of all domestic and international projects and strategies. Provide all forms of media and storytelling support to ensure Development is equipped to raise project funds. 

 

Financial Stewardship:

  • Cru Religious Missionary Order Staff are expected to maintain a positive balance in their staff account, properly administer financial resources, and communicate consistently with his/her ministry partnership team.

 

Other Functions:

  • Demonstrate and model personal spiritual discipline and assist in development of an environment on the team where individual team members grow in their own Christian walks.
  • Personal development – engage in the Staff Development process including creating and implementing a Personal Development Plan (PDP) targeting areas of growth.
  • Perform related duties or special projects as assigned
  • Attend the Ministry’s bi-monthly staff meetings, weekly team meetings, weekly prayer times, biennial retreat and Cru semi-annual days of prayer
