I thirst for You as parched land thirsts for rain.\u201d (Psalm 143.6)<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"vc_row-full-width vc_clearfix\">Our awesome God is gloriously incomprehensible. The following are four of the many ways He is beyond our understanding.<\/div>\n<div class=\"vc_row wpb_row vc_row-fluid\" data-vc-full-width=\"true\" data-vc-full-width-init=\"true\">\n<div class=\"wpb_column vc_column_container vc_col-sm-12\">\n<div class=\"vc_column-inner\">\n<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element \">\n<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n<p><strong>God is infinite.<\/strong><br \/>Unlike\u00a0us, God has no limits\u00a0or boundaries. He is\u00a0not confined to the\u00a0dimension of space. His\u00a0love, holiness, mercy and all His other qualities are\u00a0unlimited in their scope and expression.<\/p>\n<p><strong>God is self-existent.<br \/><\/strong>Unlike everything else in the\u00a0entire universe, He had no beginning. Because He is\u00a0the Creator, He is the only One who exists outside of\u00a0the created order.<\/p>\n<p><strong>God is eternal.<br \/><\/strong>He is not bound by the dimension of\u00a0time. He created time as a temporary context for His\u00a0creation. With God, everything that has ever happened\u00a0or will ever happen has already occurred within His\u00a0awareness. God encompasses all of eternity!<\/p>\n<p><strong>God is self-sufficient.<br \/><\/strong>All creation relies on God for\u00a0existence, but He has no need for anything. He does\u00a0not need our help. He only offers us the privilege of being involved with Him in the fulfillment of His\u00a0purposes.<\/p>\n<p>God is gloriously incomprehensible, but He is also\u00a0a personal Spirit. Through His infinite love and\u00a0goodness, He has provided a way for us to have an\u00a0authentic, personal relationship with Him.<\/p>\n<p>First, God revealed Himself to us in His Word,\u00a0the Bible. The Scriptures provide us with a\u00a0clear description of what God is like and what is\u00a0important to Him.<\/p>\n<p>Second, God came down from heaven to live on\u00a0earth. For 33 years, human beings could observe the\u00a0incarnate God through their senses as they walked\u00a0and talked with His Son, Jesus.<\/p>\n<p>Third, God destroyed the barrier of sin and self-centeredness that separated us from our holy God.\u00a0His perfect Son, Jesus, died on the cross to pay the\u00a0penalty for our sins.<\/p>\n<p>Fourth, God sent the Holy Spirit to dwell in\u00a0Christians with His presence.<\/p>\n<p>Our Creator God did all this so we could go beyond\u00a0just knowing about Him. We can actually enter into a\u00a0warm friendship and intimate family relationship with\u00a0Him. You have made the heavens and earth by Your great power. Nothing is too hard for You!\u201d (Jeremiah 32:17)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>God merely spoke\u00a0the universe into\u00a0being \u2014 a universe that\u00a0astronomers estimate\u00a0contains more than\u00a0100 billion galaxies.\u00a0But all the power\u00a0contained in this entire\u00a0universe is but a small\u00a0representation of the\u00a0unlimited power of God. The combined energy of all\u00a0earth\u2019s storms, winds, ocean waves and other forces\u00a0of nature do not equal even a fraction of God\u2019s\u00a0almighty power.<\/p>\n<p>God\u2019s power is inherent in His nature. All power\u00a0has always been His and will continue to be His for\u00a0all eternity. Any power that we have is given to us\u00a0by God.<\/p>\n<p>Because God is all-powerful, He has the ability and\u00a0strength to do whatever He pleases. His power is not\u00a0restrained or inhibited by any of His created beings.\u00a0People and nations are powerless when confronted\u00a0by His might.<\/p>\n<p>Our amazing God is capable of doing anything \u2014 as\u00a0long as it does not violate any of His other attributes.\u00a0No task is too big for Him. He never fails. And He is\u00a0never tired, frustrated or discouraged.<\/p>\n<p>Yet our all-powerful Creator cares for us, and He\u00a0longs to exhibit His power in our lives.<\/p>\n<p>David writes, \u201cWhen I look at the night sky and see\u00a0the work of Your fingers \u2014 the moon and the stars\u00a0You have set in place \u2014 what are mere mortals that\u00a0You should think about them, human beings that\u00a0You should care for them?\u201d (Psalm 8:3-4, NLT).<\/p>\n<p>No matter what you might be facing, God can\u00a0help you. Nothing is too hard for Him. No need\u00a0is too great for Him to meet. No problem is too\u00a0complicated for Him to solve. No foe is too strong\u00a0for Him to conquer. Where can I flee from Your presence? If I go up to the heavens, You\u00a0<\/em><em>are there; if I make my bed in the depths, You are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle\u00a0on the far side of the sea, even there Your hand will guide me, Your right hand will hold me fast. If I\u00a0<\/em><em>say, \u201cSurely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me,\u201d even the darkness will\u00a0not be dark to You; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to You. , (Psalms 139:7-12)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>God is always with us. Because He is an infinite\u00a0Spirit, He is not restricted to being in one location at\u00a0a time. He fills every inch of space throughout the\u00a0universe with all His wonderful personal attributes.\u00a0Although God is distinct from His creation, all His\u00a0creation exists within Him. In Acts 17:28 we are told,\u00a0\u201cIn Him we live and move and exist\u201d (New Living\u00a0Translation).<\/p>\n<p>We live in His glorious presence every moment of\u00a0every day. When we are alone, God watches what\u00a0we do. When we do something good that nobody\u00a0else knows about, God sees it and will reward us\u00a0accordingly.<\/p>\n<p>He also sees the bad things we do in secret.\u00a0Hebrews 4:13 states, \u201cNothing in all creation is\u00a0hidden from God. Everything is naked and exposed\u00a0before His eyes, and He is the one to whom we are\u00a0accountable\u201d (NLT).<\/p>\n<p>We actually have the presence of Almighty God\u00a0living inside us. The apostle Paul wrote, \u201cDon\u2019t you\u00a0know that you yourselves are God\u2019s temple and that\u00a0God\u2019s Spirit lives in you?\u201d (1 Corinthians 3:16, NIV).<\/p>\n<p>God wants us to \u201cconsciously\u201d live in His presence\u00a0each day. His ever-presence makes it possible for\u00a0us to be in constant communication with Him and\u00a0to depend on Him in every situation. But often we\u00a0ignore His presence because we are so preoccupied\u00a0with our lives. Sometimes we even forget He is with \u00a0us while we are busy serving Him.<\/p>\n<p>Yet God\u2019s magnificent presence is all we need for\u00a0any challenge that may come our way. No person or\u00a0circumstance can ever remove us from the presence\u00a0of our loving God. He is always with us, hearing our\u00a0cries for help. He is always with us, protecting us\u00a0from danger. He is always with us, watching what\u00a0we do. He is our ever-present God, Savior, Lord and\u00a0Master \u2014 our dearest friend.<\/p>\n<p>[Jesus said,] \u201cI am with you always.\u201d (Matthew\u00a028:20, NIV)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>all creation is dependent upon His presence (Col. 1:17)<\/li>\n<li>God\u2019s continual presence brings contentment (Heb. 13:5)<\/li>\n<li>God is everywhere and no one can escape Him (Ps. 139:7-12)<\/li>\n<li>no task is too large or too difficult for Him (Jer. 32:17, 27)<\/li>\n<li>One cannot hide from God (Jer. 23:23-24)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"pp-faq-item elementor-grid-item pp-accordion-item\">\n\t\t\t\t<div id=\"pp-accordion-tab-title-9734\" class=\"pp-faq-question pp-accordion-tab-title\" tabindex=\"0\" data-tab=\"4\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"pp-accordion-title-icon\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"pp-accordion-title-text\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\tBecause God knows everything...\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"pp-accordion-toggle-icon\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class='pp-accordion-toggle-icon-close pp-icon'>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<i aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"fas fa-chevron-right\"><\/i>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class='pp-accordion-toggle-icon-open pp-icon'>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<i aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"fas fa-chevron-up\"><\/i>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\t<div id=\"pp-accordion-tab-content-9734\" class=\"pp-faq-answer pp-accordion-tab-content\" data-tab=\"4\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3>I will go to Him with all my questions and concerns.<\/h3>\n<p><em>\u201cHe determines the course of world events; He removes kings and sets others on the throne. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the scholars.\u201d (Daniel 2:21)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Our magnificent Creator God knows everything and\u00a0is the source of all true knowledge, understanding\u00a0and wisdom. His knowledge is undefiled by any\u00a0distortions or wrong perspectives. It is totally true\u00a0and accurate.<\/p>\n<p>God knows the answers to all of life\u2019s questions.\u00a0Unlike us, God is never surprised or bewildered,\u00a0because He is always completely aware of all events\u00a0past, present and future.<\/p>\n<p>He also knows everything about you \u2014 your desires,\u00a0motives and thoughts. God knows more about you\u00a0than you will ever know about yourself.<\/p>\n<p>King David writes, \u201cO Lord, You have examined my\u00a0heart and know everything about me. You know\u00a0when I sit down or stand up. You know my thoughts\u00a0even when I\u2019m far away. You see me when I travel\u00a0and when I rest at home. You know everything I\u00a0do. You know what I am going to say even before I\u00a0say it, Lord. You go before me and follow me. You\u00a0place Your hand of blessing on my head. Such\u00a0knowledge is too wonderful for me, too great for\u00a0me to understand!\u201d (Psalm 139:1-6, New Living\u00a0Translation).<\/p>\n<p>When you face challenges or difficulties, you can\u00a0be encouraged that God understands what you are\u00a0going through. He knows about your pressures and\u00a0problems, and He also knows the purpose for your\u00a0trials. God promises, \u201cI know the plans I have for you\u2026 They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give\u00a0you a future and a hope\u201d (Jeremiah 29:11, NLT).<\/p>\n<p>Whatever your circumstances, whatever your need,\u00a0God has the answer. He knows everything about\u00a0your situation and wants to help you.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cIf any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God,\u00a0who gives generously to all without finding fault,\u00a0and it will be given to you. But when you ask, you\u00a0must believe and not doubt, because the one who\u00a0doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed\u00a0by the wind. He has the power to do as He pleases\u00a0<\/em><em>among the angels of heaven and with those who live on earth. No one can stop Him or challenge Him, saying, \u2018What do You mean by doing these things?\u201d\u2018 (Daniel 4:35)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>God is the sovereign ruler of the universe. There\u00a0is no higher authority. Our great God possesses\u00a0every ability He needs to be in absolute control of\u00a0everything. He is all-powerful, so no one can force\u00a0Him to do anything against His will. He is present\u00a0everywhere, so no one can hide from Him or escape\u00a0His scrutiny. He is all-knowing, so there is nothing\u00a0about which He is unaware.<\/p>\n<p>Nothing occurs without His divine permission. God\u00a0commands the forces of nature and uses them to\u00a0achieve His divine purposes. He established the\u00a0scientific laws that regulate the universe, and only\u00a0He can overrule their effect. Even Satan and his\u00a0legions of evil spirits can operate only within limits\u00a0prescribed by God.<\/p>\n<p>God also sovereignly directs people, circumstances\u00a0and events. Daniel explains, <em>\u201c[God] determines\u00a0the course of world events; He removes kings\u00a0and sets up other kings\u201d<\/em> (Daniel 2:21, New Living\u00a0Translation). Without God\u2019s sustaining providence,\u00a0none of us could live another day. <em>\u201cThe life of every\u00a0living thing is in His hand, and the breath of every\u00a0human being\u201d<\/em> (Job 12:10, NLT).<\/p>\n<p>Do you feel overwhelmed by circumstances? Be\u00a0encouraged: Your loving God is still in control, and\u00a0He is sovereignly directing your life. Proverbs 19:21\u00a0states, <em>\u201cYou can make many plans, but the LORD\u2019s\u00a0purpose will prevail\u201d<\/em> (NLT).<\/p>\n<p>In fact, difficulties and suffering are tools in God\u2019s\u00a0sovereign hands with which He shapes you into the\u00a0image of Jesus Christ. The Bible promises, <em>\u201cGod\u00a0causes everything to work together for the good of\u00a0those who love God and are called according to His\u00a0purpose for them\u201d<\/em> (Romans 8:28, NLT).<\/p>\n<p>Our sovereign God is actively directing His creation\u00a0on a course that has been charted before the\u00a0beginning of time. But within the context of His\u00a0master plan, He gives all of us the freedom to\u00a0choose how we will participate. Don\u2019t slip back into your old ways of doing evil; you didn\u2019t know any better then. But now you must be holy in everything you do, just as God\u2014who chose you to\u00a0be His children\u2014is holy. For He Himself has said, \u201cYou must be holy because I am holy \u201d (1 Peter 1:14-16)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Our God is holy. His\u00a0character is perfect in\u00a0every way. His moral\u00a0excellence is the\u00a0absolute standard of\u00a0integrity and ethical\u00a0purity. God\u2019s supreme\u00a0holiness infinitely sets\u00a0Him apart from His\u00a0creation.<\/p>\n<p>As we meditate on God\u2019s supreme holiness, we\u00a0cannot help being overcome with a sense of awe.\u00a0The psalmist tells us, \u201c<em>Worship the LORD in the\u00a0splendor of His holiness; tremble before Him, all the\u00a0earth<\/em>\u201d (Psalm 96:9, NIV).<\/p>\n<p>Solomon writes, \u201c<em>The fear of the LORD is the\u00a0beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy\u00a0One is understanding<\/em>\u201d (Proverbs 9:10, NIV). To fear\u00a0God does not mean to be afraid of Him but to have\u00a0a reverential respect for His magnificent greatness\u00a0and unlimited authority. The Bible instructs us,\u00a0\u201c<em>Serve the LORD with fear, and celebrate His rule\u00a0with trembling<\/em>\u201d (Psalm 2:11, NIV).<\/p>\n<p>You have been set apart by God to be holy. Rather\u00a0than reflecting the opinions and attitudes of this\u00a0sinful world, you are to reflect the beauty of His\u00a0holiness. But you can be holy only by placing your\u00a0faith in Jesus Christ. As the holiness of God works\u00a0into the fabric of your being, you will become\u00a0sensitive to sin and learn to abhor it as God does.<\/p>\n<p>God\u2019s holiness demands your devotion. The apostle\u00a0John strongly warns, \u201cDear children, keep away\u00a0from anything that might take God\u2019s place in your\u00a0hearts\u201d (1 John 5:21, New Living Translation). Where\u00a0is your heart? Are you remaining pure and faithful to\u00a0your holy God? Holy living involves a daily decision\u00a0to surrender to the lordship of Christ.<\/p>\n<p>Sin brings death and destruction, while holiness\u00a0brings health and well-being. God wants your mind\u00a0and heart to be filled with His holy qualities. As your\u00a0life is transformed, you will project the light of His\u00a0holiness into the darkness of this evil world. And you will know the truth, and the\u00a0<\/em><em>truth will set you free.\u201d (John 8:31,32)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Our God is absolute truth. It is impossible for Him to\u00a0be otherwise. In fact, God is the source of all truth.\u00a0Our God, who is present everywhere and knows\u00a0all things, has total understanding of what is real,\u00a0what is right and what is true. Whatever He says is\u00a0completely accurate.<\/p>\n<p>When God gave the prophet Balaam a message to\u00a0deliver to the king of Moab, Balaam said, <em>\u201cGod is not\u00a0a man, so he does not lie. He is not a human, so he\u00a0does not change his mind. Has He ever spoken and\u00a0failed to act? Has He ever promised and not carried\u00a0it through?\u201d<\/em> (Numbers 23:19, NLT).<\/p>\n<p>Whatever God says is absolutely right. Whatever He\u00a0promises will always be fulfilled.<\/p>\n<p>God wants us to know the truth. Jesus prayed\u00a0for His disciples, asking God to \u201c<em>sanctify them by\u00a0the truth; Your word is truth<\/em>\u201d (John 17:17, New\u00a0International Version). The Bible helps us know and\u00a0understand the truth about Him, about ourselves\u00a0and about life.<\/p>\n<p>God also manifested truth to us in the person of\u00a0Jesus Christ. Jesus said, \u201c<em>I am the way and the truth\u00a0and the life<\/em>\u201d (John 14:6, NIV). While many people\u00a0claim to know the truth, only Jesus could honestly\u00a0claim to be the truth.<\/p>\n<p>God also guides us into truth through the working\u00a0of His Holy Spirit. Jesus told His disciples, \u201c<em>I will ask\u00a0the Father, and He will give you another advocate\u00a0to help you and be with you forever \u2014 the Spirit of\u00a0truth<\/em>\u201d (John 14:16-17, NIV).<\/p>\n<p>Jesus promises, \u201c<em>You are truly My disciples if you\u00a0remain faithful to My teachings. And you will know\u00a0the truth, and the truth will set you free<\/em>\u201d (John 8:31-32, NLT). God\u2019s truth frees us to live as He intended.<\/p>\n<p>God is our anchor of truth in a society of relativism\u00a0and falsehood. Do your decisions and lifestyle\u00a0demonstrate that you are listening to Jesus? Or\u00a0have you bought into the lies of popular culture?\u00a0Are you consistently spending time discovering\u00a0truth in God\u2019s Word?<\/p>\n<p>Truth will be found only by those who diligently seek\u00a0it in the right places. Instead, there must be a spiritual renewal of your thoughts and attitudes. You\u00a0must display a new nature because you are a new person, created in God\u2019s likeness\u2014righteous, holy, and true.\u201d (Ephesians 4:22-24)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>God is righteous, and\u00a0all the righteousness in\u00a0the entire universe has\u00a0its origin in Him. The\u00a0psalmist exclaims, <em>\u201cYour\u00a0righteousness, O God,\u00a0reaches to the highest\u00a0heavens. \u2026 Who can compare with You, O God?<\/em>\u201d\u00a0(Psalm 71:19, New Living Translation).<\/p>\n<p>We live in an age when the distinction between\u00a0right and wrong is becoming increasingly blurred.\u00a0Our culture has adopted the principle of situational\u00a0ethics, which proposes that what is morally right\u00a0varies from person to person and situation to\u00a0situation. Yet God\u2019s standards do not change; they\u00a0are timeless.<\/p>\n<p>God\u2019s laws are a reflection of His own righteous\u00a0nature. If we break God\u2019s laws, we will pay the\u00a0consequences. But we cannot keep God\u2019s perfect\u00a0standard on our own. Only by receiving Jesus as our\u00a0Savior and Lord are we made righteous.<\/p>\n<p>The apostle Paul explains, \u201c<em>We are made right with\u00a0God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is\u00a0true for everyone who believes, no matter who we\u00a0are<\/em>\u201d (Romans 3:22, NLT). When we place our trust in\u00a0Jesus, God no longer sees our sinfulness but only the\u00a0perfect righteousness of Christ that now clothes us.<\/p>\n<p>God wants you to display His righteousness in your\u00a0new life. You can do this through faith as you daily\u00a0\u201c<em>throw off your old sinful nature and your former\u00a0way of life. \u2026 Instead, let the Spirit renew your\u00a0thoughts and attitudes. Put on your new nature,\u00a0created to be like God \u2014 truly righteous and holy<\/em>\u201d\u00a0(Ephesians 4:22\u201324, NLT). This is possible only as\u00a0you consistently submit your will to the Holy Spirit\u00a0and depend on Him to empower you.<\/p>\n<p>As Christians, we must hold fast to the righteous\u00a0standards set forth by the sovereign Ruler of the\u00a0universe. Regardless of the beliefs and behavior of\u00a0society, God will hold every person accountable\u00a0according to His biblical decrees. We will each receive whatever we deserve for the good or evil we have done in our bodies. \u201d (2 Corinthians 5:10)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>God is absolutely just\u00a0in all His judgments.\u00a0Because of His holy\u00a0righteousness, He\u00a0cannot be bribed\u00a0or corrupted in any\u00a0way. God cannot be\u00a0fooled. Because He is\u00a0all-knowing and ever-present, He has all the\u00a0facts at His disposal.\u00a0He knows the circumstances and motives, so His\u00a0decisions are always based on absolute truth. God\u00a0is also a perfect judge because when He pronounces\u00a0judgment, He has the power and sovereignty to carry\u00a0out the punishment. \u201c<em>Everything He does is just and\u00a0fair. He is a faithful God who does no wrong; how just\u00a0and upright He is!<\/em>\u201d (Deuteronomy 32:4, NLT).<\/p>\n<p>Justice is a pillar of society, ensuring that the\u00a0innocent are vindicated and the guilty are punished.\u00a0But all too often, this standard for justice is\u00a0compromised for personal gain by corrupt judges\u00a0and unscrupulous lawyers. Consequently, many\u00a0people mistakenly believe they can manipulate\u00a0God\u2019s system of justice. They think that God is\u00a0fooled by their excuses and alibis.<\/p>\n<p>But because He is a just God, His verdict will always\u00a0be right. King David said, \u201c<em>The Lord is righteous, He\u00a0loves justice<\/em>\u201d (Psalm 11:7, New International Version).<\/p>\n<p>Because God is just, He will always treat you fairly.\u00a0However, as the holy and righteous sovereign of\u00a0the universe, God cannot ignore any act of sin. God\u00a0hates sin with a holy passion. The psalmist writes,\u00a0\u201c<em>You spread out our sins before You \u2014 our secret sins\u00a0\u2014 and You see them all. \u2026 Who can comprehend the\u00a0power of Your anger? Your wrath is as awesome as\u00a0the fear You deserve<\/em>\u201d (Psalm 90:8,11, NLT).<\/p>\n<p>God\u2019s anger over sin should never be\u00a0underestimated. You need to have a healthy fear of\u00a0God to help you avoid anything that would violate\u00a0your relationship with Him.<\/p>\n<p>God also rewards right behavior. Although your\u00a0salvation is secured by faith in Jesus Christ, your\u00a0good works confirm that you are a child of God and\u00a0determine the rewards you will receive from Him.\u00a0We serve a just God, so what you do in this life will\u00a0matter for eternity.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>God will judge us for everything we do, including\u00a0every secret thing, whether good or bad<\/em>.\u201d\u00a0(Ecclesiastes 12:14, NLT)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a day is fixed for His righteous judgment of the world (Acts 17:31)<\/li>\n<li>all sin is ultimately against a righteous God (Ps. 51:4)<\/li>\n<li>all God\u2019s ways are righteous and deserve praise (Rev. 15:3)<\/li>\n<li>God alone is the judge (James 4:12)<\/li>\n<li>God judges all people with justice (Ps. 9:7-8)<\/li>\n<li>God\u2019s law and judgments are completely righteous (Ps. 19:7-9)<\/li>\n<li>He exercises justice toward all humanity (Gen. 18:25)<\/li>\n<li>He is just in all His ways (Dent. 32:4)<\/li>\n<li>God rightly judges heart, mind and deeds (Jer. 17:10)<\/li>\n<li>Jesus, our righteous defender before the Father (1 John 2:1)<\/li>\n<li>the Messiah will judge all with complete justice (Isa. 11:4-5)<\/li>\n<li>the righteous Messiah will establish a righteous people (Jer. 33:16)<\/li>\n<li>the righteous God justifies those who believe in Jesus (Rom. 3:25-26)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"pp-faq-item elementor-grid-item pp-accordion-item\">\n\t\t\t\t<div id=\"pp-accordion-tab-title-97310\" class=\"pp-faq-question pp-accordion-tab-title\" tabindex=\"0\" data-tab=\"10\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"pp-accordion-title-icon\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"pp-accordion-title-text\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\tBecause God is love...\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"pp-accordion-toggle-icon\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class='pp-accordion-toggle-icon-close pp-icon'>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<i aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"fas fa-chevron-right\"><\/i>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class='pp-accordion-toggle-icon-open pp-icon'>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<i aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"fas fa-chevron-up\"><\/i>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\t<div id=\"pp-accordion-tab-content-97310\" class=\"pp-faq-answer pp-accordion-tab-content\" data-tab=\"10\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3>He is unconditionally committed to my well-being.<\/h3>\n<p><em>\u201cCan anything ever separate us from Christ\u2019s love? Does it mean He no longer loves us if we have\u00a0<\/em><em>trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or are hungry or cold or in danger or threatened with death?\u201d\u00a0<\/em><em>\u201cNo, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. And I am\u00a0convinced that nothing can ever separate us from His love, Death can\u2019t, and life can\u2019t. The angels\u00a0can\u2019t, and the demons can\u2019t. Our fears for today, our worries about tomorrow, and even the powers of\u00a0hell can not keep God\u2019s love away. Whether we are high above the sky or in the deepest ocean,\u00a0nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.\u201d (Romans 8:35, 37-39)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>God is the source of all love. It flows out of the\u00a0great reservoir of His goodness. Love permeates all\u00a0of His attributes. While people sometimes violate\u00a0standards of honesty, righteousness, and morality\u00a0to please others, God never compromises His\u00a0integrity. His love does not suppress or negate any\u00a0of His other attributes.<\/p>\n<p>God\u2019s love is unconditional. It is not based on how\u00a0good you are or what you do to please Him. He loves\u00a0you because He is God and you are His creation.\u00a0God\u2019s love never fails. The psalmist proclaims,\u00a0\u201c<em>The LORD is good. His unfailing love continues\u00a0forever<\/em>\u201d (Psalm 100:5, NLT). God\u2019s love will not be\u00a0terminated because of disappointment or a change\u00a0of heart. He defines love, He generates love, and He\u00a0demonstrates what true love looks like.<\/p>\n<p>John explains, \u201c<em>This is real love \u2014 not that we loved\u00a0God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as a\u00a0sacrifice to take away our sins<\/em>\u201d (1 John 4:10, NLT).\u00a0Jesus gave His life on your behalf. He could not have\u00a0sacrificed any more. God\u2019s love for you is supreme.<\/p>\n<p>We, in turn, are to love God wholeheartedly. Jesus\u00a0declared: \u201c<em>Love the Lord your God with all your\u00a0heart, all your soul, and all your mind. This is the\u00a0first and greatest commandment<\/em>\u201d (Matthew 22:37-\u00a038, NLT). God, in His sovereignty, has created us to\u00a0find our greatest joy and fulfillment in loving Him.<\/p>\n<p>God also enables us to be channels of His\u00a0supernatural love. On our own, we are incapable of\u00a0loving as we should, but God has for us an unending\u00a0supply of His divine love. It is for us to claim, to\u00a0enjoy and to share with others.<\/p>\n<p>When believers begin to love God, love their\u00a0neighbors as themselves and love their enemies,\u00a0society will change for the better. Because of Your great <\/em><em>compassion, blot out the stain of my sins. Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a <\/em><em>right spirit within me. Do not banish me from Your presence, and don\u2019t take Your Holy <\/em><em>Spirit from me. Restore to me again the joy of Your salvation, and make me willing to obey <\/em><em>You.\u201d (Psalm 51) or \u201cIf we confess our sins to Him, He Is faithful and just to forgive us and <\/em><em>to cleanse us from every wrong.\u201d (I John 1:9)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>God is the master of\u00a0mercy. His very nature\u00a0desires to relieve you\u00a0of the self-imposed\u00a0misery and distress you\u00a0experience because of\u00a0your sin.<\/p>\n<p>All humanity benefits from God\u2019s mercy to some\u00a0degree. Jesus stated, \u201c<em>He gives His sunlight to both\u00a0the evil and the good, and He sends rain on the\u00a0just and on the unjust<\/em>\u201d (Matthew 5:45, New Living\u00a0Translation). But God also has a sovereign mercy He\u00a0shows to those who are His. In gratitude, this is the\u00a0mercy you are to share with others.<\/p>\n<p>God shows you mercy because He compassionately\u00a0cares about you. The prophet Isaiah states,\u00a0\u201c<em>The LORD comforts His people and will have\u00a0compassion on His afflicted ones<\/em>\u201d (Isaiah 49:13,\u00a0NIV). Your loving Father cares about what you are\u00a0going through. The gospels are filled with examples\u00a0of how Jesus was moved with compassion and\u00a0acted to help those who were sick, suffering and in\u00a0need. Consider the blind man, Bartimaeus, or the\u00a0ten lepers. Jesus reached out His hands and healed\u00a0them. Or the woman caught in adultery: He spoke\u00a0compassionately to her and forgave her.<\/p>\n<p>To experience God\u2019s mercy, you must repent of\u00a0your sin and accept God\u2019s forgiveness. The Bible\u00a0promises, \u201c<em>The Lord our God is merciful and\u00a0forgiving, even though we have rebelled against\u00a0Him<\/em>\u201d (Daniel 9:9, NIV).<\/p>\n<p>God wants you in turn to be merciful to others. In\u00a0the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus declared, \u201cGod\u00a0blesses those who are merciful, for they will be\u00a0shown mercy\u201d (Matthew 5:7, NLT). In fact, Jesus said,\u00a0\u201c<em>If you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not\u00a0forgive your sins<\/em>\u201d (Matthew 6:15, NLT). God\u2019s mercy\u00a0flows to those who show mercy to others.<\/p>\n<p>Your loving heavenly Father is committed to\u00a0your well-being. Out of His great compassion, He\u00a0generously bestows on you His grace and mercy.\u00a0God demonstrates His grace by showering you\u00a0with blessings you do not deserve. He displays His\u00a0great mercy by withholding the punishment you so\u00a0rightfully deserve.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious\u00a0God. There we will receive His mercy, and we\u00a0will find grace to help us when we need it most<\/em>.\u201d\u00a0(Hebrews 4:16, NLT)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>God will never relent from showing mercy to His children (Ps. 23:6)<\/li>\n<li>God will listen to our pleas for mercy (Ps. 30:8)<\/li>\n<li>Because of mercy, God washes away our transgressions (Ps. 51:1)<\/li>\n<li>Because God is merciful, He has not hidden Himself from us (Ps. 69:16)<\/li>\n<li>Mercy comes to those who confess their sins (Prov. 28:13)<\/li>\n<li>Mercy is given to those who are themselves merciful (Matt. 5:7)<\/li>\n<li>God desires to show mercy to His people instead of having His people trying to obtain their own righteousness (Matt. 9:13)<\/li>\n<li>God shows mercy to those who fear His name (Luke 1:50)<\/li>\n<li>Our mercy of others should be an imitation of God\u2019s mercy to us (Luke 6:36)<\/li>\n<li>Knowing God\u2019s mercy encourages us to follow Him (Rom. 12:1)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"pp-faq-item elementor-grid-item pp-accordion-item\">\n\t\t\t\t<div id=\"pp-accordion-tab-title-97312\" class=\"pp-faq-question pp-accordion-tab-title\" tabindex=\"0\" data-tab=\"12\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"pp-accordion-title-icon\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"pp-accordion-title-text\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\tBecause God is faithful...\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"pp-accordion-toggle-icon\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class='pp-accordion-toggle-icon-close pp-icon'>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<i aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"fas fa-chevron-right\"><\/i>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class='pp-accordion-toggle-icon-open pp-icon'>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<i aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"fas fa-chevron-up\"><\/i>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\t<div id=\"pp-accordion-tab-content-97312\" class=\"pp-faq-answer pp-accordion-tab-content\" data-tab=\"12\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3>I will trust Him to always keep His promises.<\/h3>\n<p><em>\u201cRemember that the temptations that come into your life are no different from what others experience.\u00a0And God is faithful. He will keep the temptation from becoming so strong that you can\u2019t stand up\u00a0against it. And when you are tempted, He will show you a way out so that you will not give in to it. \u201d (1 Corinthians 10:13)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Faithfulness is at the heart of all that God is and\u00a0does. His truthfulness, holiness, love, righteousness\u00a0and other attributes ensure His faithfulness. He is\u00a0incapable of being otherwise.<\/p>\n<p>God is faithful to protect you from temptation and\u00a0the evil one. Paul wrote, \u201c<em>God is faithful. He will not\u00a0allow the temptation to be more than you can stand.\u00a0When you are tempted, He will show you a way\u00a0out so that you can endure<\/em>\u201d (1 Corinthians 10:13,\u00a0NLT). When you are tempted to sin, do not focus on\u00a0the attractiveness of the temptation but on God\u2019s\u00a0faithfulness to deliver you from that situation.<\/p>\n<p>God is faithful to forgive you even when you are\u00a0unfaithful. Because you are still in a body of flesh,\u00a0you have a tendency to sin and, ultimately, to be\u00a0unfaithful. How encouraging it is to remember God\u2019s\u00a0promise, \u201c<em>If we are unfaithful, He remains faithful,\u00a0for He cannot deny who He is<\/em>\u201d (2 Timothy 2:13, NLT).\u00a0But you must be sincere in your repentance and not\u00a0abuse God\u2019s grace. The Bible states, \u201c<em>If we confess our\u00a0sins to Him, He is faithful and just to forgive us and to\u00a0cleanse us from all wickedness\u201d<\/em> (1 John 1:9, NLT).<\/p>\n<p>God is faithful to purify you from unrighteousness.\u00a0It is God\u2019s plan for you to become holy and advance\u00a0His kingdom. And He is faithful to bring this to pass.\u00a0Paul declared, \u201c<em>I am certain that God, who began\u00a0the good work within you, will continue His work\u00a0until it is finally finished on that day when Christ\u00a0Jesus returns<\/em>\u201d (Philippians 1:6, NLT).<\/p>\n<p>God is faithful to fulfill His promises. Hebrews 10:23\u00a0states, \u201c<em>Let us hold tightly without wavering to the\u00a0hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep His\u00a0promise<\/em>\u201d (NLT). God is ready and able to deliver all\u00a0He has promised.<\/p>\n<p>God is faithful to help you in your need. He will never\u00a0fail you! He is reliable. He is trustworthy. He cannot\u00a0be otherwise. It is I, the LORD, the First and the Last. \u201d (Isaiah 41:4)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>God never changes. In fact, it is impossible for God\u00a0to change. The influences that cause change in your\u00a0life have no effect on God. He will never be stronger\u00a0or weaker. His knowledge and wisdom will not\u00a0increase or diminish. God does not compromise or\u00a0change His values. And God does not have mood\u00a0swings. Life and its uncertainties may shake you,\u00a0but God \u2014 the Rock of Ages \u2014 does not move. If you\u00a0cling to Him, His strength will sustain you.<\/p>\n<p>God\u2019s unchanging purpose gives you eternal\u00a0significance. Psalm 33:11 states, \u201c<em>The LORD\u2019s plans\u00a0stand firm forever; His intentions can never be\u00a0shaken<\/em>\u201d (NLT). God\u2019s plan is unchangeable. It existed\u00a0at the beginning of creation and remains the same\u00a0today. And you are part of His plan! Paul explains,\u00a0\u201c<em>We are God\u2019s masterpiece. He has created us anew\u00a0in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He\u00a0planned for us long ago<\/em>\u201d (Ephesians 2:10, NLT).<\/p>\n<p>God\u2019s unchangeable ways assure you of unwavering\u00a0guidance. Psalm 18:30 states, \u201c<em>God\u2019s way is perfect.\u00a0All the LORD\u2019s promises prove true<\/em>\u201d (NLT). God\u2019s\u00a0principles for life never change. His guidelines,\u00a0given in Scripture, produce fruitful lives when we\u00a0follow them.<\/p>\n<p>God\u2019s unchanging Word equips you with timeless\u00a0truth. Isaiah declared, \u201c<em>The grass withers, and\u00a0the flowers fade, but the word of our God stands\u00a0forever<\/em>\u201d (Isaiah 40:8, NLT). God\u2019s words and\u00a0commands are timeless.<\/p>\n<p>God\u2019s unchanging commitment guarantees\u00a0everlasting security. If you have trusted in Jesus\u00a0Christ as your Lord and Savior, you can be assured\u00a0of eternal life. God is eternally committed to your\u00a0redemption, your spiritual growth, and your eternal\u00a0destiny. God\u2019s commitment to you is as strong\u00a0as He is eternally constant. The storms of life are\u00a0continually changing, but God remains the same.\u00a0He is consistent and reliable. He is your anchor. You\u00a0can count on God because He never changes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and\u00a0forever.<\/em>\u201d (Hebrews 13:8, NLT).<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>God never changes
