What’s the point of all this “Follow Jesus” stuff?<\/h2>\n

Wow! With this blog post, we complete a full year of blogging about the evidence for Christianity — from its historical roots (Jesus really lived!), to why Jesus calls us into relationship with Him. The purpose of this series was simply this: to give you historically accurate information about Christianity, so that you grow your faith and confidently share it with others.<\/p>\n

We’ve answered many of the challenging questions that skeptics tend to ask, including “But the Bible was written by lots of people over a hundred years. How can it be authentic?<\/a><\/strong>” and “Christianity appears to be a copy-cat religion. Can you prove otherwise?”<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Let’s recap other big questions typically asked by skeptics<\/a><\/strong>. Our goal is not to “win” a discussion, but to be prepared. Let’s be knowledgeable, so that are conversations are productive and helpful for those seeking to know about Jesus.<\/p>\n

Answers for Questions About Christianity<\/h2>\n

My truth is my truth, your truth is your truth. How can you say otherwise?<\/strong><\/a>
\nWhy does Jesus consider me a sinner?<\/a><\/strong>
\nThe Bible was created to manipulate people. How can you be okay with that?<\/a><\/strong>
\nHow can you possibly believe in miracles?!<\/a><\/strong>
\nThe Bible is full of contradictions. Doesn’t that make it silly to say it’s the Word of God?<\/a><\/strong>
\nYou want me to believe that all the scribes that copied the Bible over the centuries got it right?<\/a><\/strong>

The Bible tells us to always have a ready answer for the question “Why do you believe in Jesus?”\u00a0<\/strong>
\nWe all have our unique reason(s) for responding to and loving Jesus.<\/em> Check out this guy’s very authentic answer!<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0Just one tiny paragraph of his powerful testimony:<\/p>\n

So, Why Am I A Christian?<\/strong> Because I know I\u2019m a train wreck in a dumpster fire. But I also know that God loves me 100% as is,\u00a0right now<\/em>, in the midst of the burning carnage that is often my life. I know that if I were to stack up my cards against most church people, I\u2019d fold every time. I\u2019m not that good at following rules, and I run my mouth a lot. And yet, God loves me and is cheering for me as I get better and\u00a0especially<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0when I fall down. Where I see failure, he sees opportunity for growth. Where I see addiction, he sees an opportunity to take a step. Where I\u2019ve given up, he whispers, \u201cYou can make it.<\/em>\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
